LINCORE® ML

Groupe DEPESTELE / Teillage Vandecandelaère

Description :
LINCORE® ML is a flexible multilayer structure that consists in a stack of flax technical fabrics arranged on one side or both sides of a core, being a nonwoven material containing natural fibres.

Each layer is either 100% natural or these layers are vegetal fibers commingled with thermoplastic filaments (PP, PLA, PA ...). The layers can be formed using conventional processes such as LCM, hot calendering, stamping and thermoforming.
The biobased content depends on the rate of flax fibers and the biobased origin of the thermoplastic matrix.

LINCORE® ML can be shaped into several types of materials in function of the forming process parameters that are used, allowing to produce rigid sandwich structures having customizable mechanical, thermal and acoustical properties.

Environmental gain
Flax is a fast growing plant (barely 100 days between seeding and maturity of the stem) cultivated following a sustainable agriculture: it grows naturally with very few chemicals (compared to other crops requiring more inputs) and without irrigation. It also fits perfectly into the cycle of crop rotation. Moreover, all parts of the plant are used (no waste). Therefore, being up to 100% natural, our products are recyclable, biodegradable and / or compostable.
