Microcrystalline Cellulose : VIVAPUR® - HEWETEN®

Description :
The JRS Rettenmaier group and its entity JRS Pharma is one of the largest manufacturers of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) in the world. The core of our knowledge stems from 25 years of proven in-house developed JRS MCC production processes. That gives us the 100% control and excellence of the process, the product and a consistent quality.
In 2018, the JRS Microcrystalline Cellulose production network expanded in to Asia and opened a new state-of-the-art production site in Changzhou, China. An additional site in India started in 2019. This brings the global network to 7 MCC manufacturing sites in 5 countries.

Microcrystalline cellulose is purified, partially depolymerized cellulose obtained by processing alpha cellulose, obtained from wood pulp. MCC is bio-based, biodegradable according to OECD biodegradability standards, no additives, no GMOs, no VOCs etc ...

JRS offers several brands of MCC: EMCOCEL®, VIVAPUR®, HEWETEN®. Different particle size distributions, density and residual moisture are available depending on customer requirements.

Microcrystalline cellulose is used in the following industries:
Pharmaceutical: as an universal binder for tablets and optimization of disintegration properties.
Food: as an ingredient in instant sauces, soups, spices, dietary fiber drinks; as an anti-caking agent in shredded cheese; as free-flowing agent; as a direct tableting agent for food supplements.
Home Care: as a compression agent and aid in disintegrating laundry, dishwashing, bleach, fabric softener tablets ...
Personal Care: as an exfoliant or balling agent, as a sensory powder in skincare and makeup (biobased alternative to PMMA, nylon, silica, synthetic powders, etc.), as a wrinkle filler, as a compression agent in solid cosmetics, as a volumizing agent in hair ...
Filtration (wine): for correcting the level of turbidity of a must that is too settled or for the detoxification of the environment by its ability to improve the release of carbon dioxide during alcoholic fermentation.
Other applications: laminate, coatings, etc.
